Trofeo "Memorial Jesús Gil y Gil"

Trofeo Memorial Jesús Gil (Madrid-Spain)  2005-2014

The first editions of the tournament were organized by Atletico, as I recall that was its president, The matches were played at the Vicente Calderon Stadium in Madrid and with the collaboration of Madrid's rivals, who played the first two editions 2005 and 2006.

In the summer of 2013 turned to stage the tournament, this time was carried out by the city of Burgo de Osma,  Soria, hometown of the late president, to honor one of its more illustrious neighbors, as Jesus Gil Memorial Trophy and Gil, deciding that from this year's tournament would have continuity. It takes place in the Municipal Stadium of Burgo de Osma, the first edition of 2013 between CD Numancia, as a club of the region (Soria) and the Club Atletico Madrid.

The trophy is a silver replica of the tower of the Cathedral of Burgo de Osma and measures approximately one meter high.
